Responding to the voice of its customers LIME will open a new call centre in Barbados this October.

In a move that will see the service returning to the island after a few years, LIME will partner with Canada-based industry leader TELUS and its global contact centre delivery arm, TELUS International, which will provide support for customers in Barbados and other LIME territories across the region.

TELUS is an award winning global telecommunications company, with its TELUS International centres located in North America, Central America, Asia and Europe.

The centre will be part of the regional network offering customer service to LIME customers. Calls will also be facilitated through other world-class centres in the region, which TELUS International, through its partners, will set up and manage. Other centres will be set up in Jamaica and St. Lucia.

Managing Director of LIME Barbados, Alex McDonald, said: “We have listened to our customers and responded with a solution that we feel will exceed their expectations. We are always looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our customers so the selection of TELUS International for the Call Centre services was about ensuring we were delivering the best service available. We anticipate immediate improvements for our customers.”

President of TELUS International, Jeffrey Puritt added: “With TELUS International’s proven track record as a global customer service provider that focuses on customer experience innovation through spirited teamwork, agile thinking and a caring culture that puts customers first, we are very pleased to be working with LIME.

Over the last three years its current customer support partners, ACS has handled in excess of 30 million customer transactions.

This company has a focus on delivering to international standards and that is the level of service that can be expected with the opening of this new centre in Barbados.
