Mr. Caribbean Barbados is a campaign to find the best combination of confidence, physical fitness, and sex appeal to represent Barbados internationally.

The competition has at its core the desire to develop young men by instilling and cementing the importance of proper public speaking, social etiquette, personal and professional growth, national pride, and cultural representation. In essence, we want to develop and reward the most well rounded man in Barbados.

This year we have expanded the competition to add events on two additional days. In past years the People’s Choice Preliminary was limited to Facebook voting. This year we included a meet, greet, and vote by crowd cheer with all the competitors. The winner of this competition will secure five points toward there final score.

One lucky online voter will also win a date with the competitor of her choice.

Our second preliminary is the Monster Truck Pull. It will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 in the car park at Surfside Wellness Centre in Wildey at 5 p.m. Competitors will take turns to see who can pull a Monster Truck 50 meters in the fastest time. The times for this event will be added to those for the main event.

The main event is the Fitness and Physique Competition. It will be held on Saturday September 22, in the Boatyard starting at 4 p.m. Competitors will have to survive A 200 metre Kayak Challenge, 40-foot Obstacle Course, 50 meter Tyre Flip, and a 50 meter sprint. Competitors will also showcase their toned chiseled bodies for appraisal in the ever popular crowd pleasing Physique Round.

The overall winner will go on to represent Barbados at the 10 year Anniversary of Mr. Caribbean International scheduled to be held in Jamaica during the week of October 1-7, 2012.
