Camp superiora success

Director of the Barbados Soccer Academy, Jabez “Jack” Bovell, says the academy’s recent camp, Camp Superior, which was held at Combermere School, was a resounding success.

In a media release, Bovell said the camp was six weeks duration and attracted fifty under-12 players who came out of this year’s National Sports Council’s Bico Primary Schools Tournament. He added there was a wide representation of youngsters from across the island.

“These new members included 10 schools’ captains of the 16 teams that participated in the second round of the Bico Primary Schools tournament that was played at the National Stadium. After six weeks of great preparation, these players will be representing the Barbados Soccer Academy Under-12 age group. Actually, there will be the defending champions of the 2013 Barbados Football Association’s under-13 age group,” he said.
