Norman Centre reopening put back

Work is progressing apace on the refurbishment of Norman Centre, which had been closed for several months now.

Officials had earlier this year said the mall was scheduled to reopen this month, but that has been reportedly put back to next month in time for the Christmas season.

Representatives of the complex are also looking to include two new brand name outlets. Initially, the plan was to carry out a complete re-wiring of the mall, but that was changed to a total rehabilitation and the inclusion of an elevator.

Today, the public got a rare look into the mall, which had been closed to the prying eyes ever since work started. One was able to see the empty shell of its interior and visible wiring. (EJ)
