Foundation School defeated Pinelands Cricket Academy by 101 runs as action in the Sir Garfield Sobers Under-19 Cricket Tournament continued at the Friendship, St. Michael ground today.†

Foundation, batting first, made 246 for seven in their 40 overs and, in reply, Pinelands Cricket Academy replied with 145 for five also in 40 overs.†

For Foundation, Xavier Duncan scored an unbeaten 68 and Micah Howard added a fluent 51 runs as both batsmen timed the ball well and played some splendid shots around the ground.†

Off-spin bowler Zachary McCaskie took the first three Foundation wickets and finished with figures of three for 46 runs in eight overs while Ackeem Harris supported him with two wickets for 67 runs in eight overs.†

Pinelands Academy School were in trouble early, losing two wickets for 30 runs, and after 28 overs they were 110 for four and never recovered.†Kyle Sargeant was the only Pinelands batsman to make an impression, scoring 63 not out, while team-mate Zachary McCaskie made 29.

All-rounder Aaron Jones was the pick of the Foundation bowlers with two wickets for 25 runs in his eight over spell.†

In other games today, Powergen Penal Sports Club scored 184 all out in 35.5 overs and Dominica replied with 96 all out to give Powergen a victory by 89 runs at Inch Marlow.†

At Greens, BCL scored 208 for 8 in 40 overs and Queens College made 195 in 39 overs. BCL won by 13 runs.†

At Gall Hill, Barrackpore scored 87 in 32.5 overs and New Amsterdam Combined from Guyana responded with 88 for two in 7.4 overs.†

At Content, Presentation College scored 206 for nine in 40 overs and Vishnu Boys Hindu College made 135 in 33.5.

At the Wayne Daniel Pavilion, Central High scored 98 in 29.2 overs and Nicholls Baking Combermere made 99 for 3 in 12.5 overs.†

At Kings Park, St. Clair Dacon made 141 for 6 in 40 overs and Fatima College replied with 141 for 3 in 23.4 overs.

At Isolation, Sedbergh scored 256 for 7 in 40 overs and Queen’s College made 133 all out in 34.2 overs.†††
